My name is Emma Whelan. I graduated from Ottawa University (KS) as a Summa Cum Laude Student-Athlete playing lacrosse and earned my degree in Communications with a minor in Art & Design!

My Story:
The Creative Mind that Can't be Tamed
Ever since I was young, I have always wanted to be involved in media. From jumping in front of the camera anytime I saw a photographer in grade school, to starting a YouTube channel in 5th grade, to being in the filmmaking program in High School for 4 years, to earning my Bachelor's in Strategic Communications and a minor in Art and Design, media has always been in my life. Here on this page, you will be able to see my passions firsthand.
In high school, I competed in the C-SPAN Student Cam National Competition, earning an honorable mention in my 1st year and earning $250 that I had to split with a partner. Then, in my 2nd and 3rd years competing, I worked solo and got 3rd place both years, receiving a $750 prize twice. In total, I made $1,800 in prize money.
